The Last Rose is a stop motion animation of my graduation project in BA. I adapted this story from William Faulkner's short novel, A Rose for Emily. Every model in the film is made by paper, the background houses are made in pop-up style, and the characters in cut-out way.
This story is adapted from William Faulkner's short novel, a dark but sad story. Emily has been restricted by his father since she is a girl, he does not allow her to do many things. After his father died, Emily thought she is free, and she goes to the man who she thinks they are loved, but she finds that man loves another man. After that, no one has seen Emily again, she never out of her house. When she died, the folks break into her room that finds a dead body lying on her bed.
I love this story so much. The authors' original intention is to show the conflict between the old and the new society, different class people. But I think no matter what age, the judgment and restrains to the woman are always there.
