Shadow Monster is my first stop motion project in BA. The story is about how a boy faces his parents' broken marriage, show the inside feeling of the kid. Parents argue all the time and ignore the kid's feelings. The boy becomes a shadow monster and eats his parents' shadow.
影子怪兽是我本科时期第一个定格动画作品，故事以一个男孩的视角来看待父母破碎的婚姻。小男孩的父母一直在吵架，到最后的时刻小男孩的影子变成一个影子怪兽把他父母的影子吃掉了。
The environment of the family is important in children’s growth, a better family environment means a good education sometimes. The inspiration came from my cousin who is like a brother to me. He is a good boy but with a poor family, his parent always quarreling with each other. They fight, break and make up, over and over again in their marriage. I can feel his feeling without saying a word, with sadness, anger, and anxiety. The family has hurt him in his growing up.
家庭环境对孩子的成长很重要，更好的家庭环境有时意味着良好的教育。灵感来自我的小表弟，他是一个很好很善良的孩子，但是他的父母总是在吵架。他们在婚姻中一遍又一遍的争吵、分手和复合。他时常与我聊天、倾诉，我可以感受到他的悲伤、愤怒和焦虑。我想通过这个短片来映射婚姻的破碎对孩子的伤害。
